The 3–8 Diagnostic Toolkit is designed to help educators identify and address persistent reading challenges in upper elementary and middle grades. Built on the same research-aligned framework as the primary toolkit, this resource supports a structured process for moving from screening to diagnostic assessment, analysis, and targeted intervention.

This toolkit focuses on uncovering the root causes of reading difficulty by examining decoding, encoding, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
